RIVER FOREST, Ill. – MSOE women's soccer continued play of the young 2021 season this afternoon, traveling down to Concordia Chicago for a non-conference matchup. The Raiders continued the trend of shutting out opponents, slamming the door on the Cougars with a 3-0 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
It was smooth sailing once again for MSOE (2-0, 1-0 NACC North) this afternoon. After blanking Marian to open the season on Wednesday, the Raiders did the same exact thing to the Cougars of Concordia Chicago (1-3, 1-0 NACC South). The Red & White scored right out of the gate when Gabby Hoffman netted her first goal of the season just three minutes into the first half. MSOE did not score for the rest of the frame while on the other side of the field the Cougars did not register one shot on goal. In fact, CUC ended up with just eight shots all game, five of which were stopped by keeper Megan Lacina in the last half of play. To keep the theme of quick goals going, Nicole Robb set up McKayla Zastrow just six seconds into the next frame to put MSOE up 2-0. Robb decided to take on the scoring honors with the Raiders last tally, an unassisted shot that ended up giving the Red & White the 3-0 win.
