Box Score GLENDALE, Wis. – MSOE baseball finally played in their new stadium. Opened in the fall of 2019, the Raiders had to wait over a year and a half to get an official game in, but it was worth the wait. The Red & White christened their new park in style with a walk off win against Benedictine on Sunday evening.
RESULT – 10 INNINGS
Benedictine – 2
MSOE RAIDERS – 3
HOW IT HAPPENED
MSOE (1-4, 0-0 NACC North) could have won things in regulation this evening at MSOE Raiders Stadium, but what would have been the fun in that to open up their sparkling new field? The Raiders were embroiled in a pitchers dual with Benedictine (5-5, 0-0 NACC South) throughout the ballgame, though the Red & White had the upper hand since the bottom of the first inning thanks to a William Blank RBI single that got the Raiders on the board. Tyler Gronert was lights out on the mound and did not give up a hit until the fourth inning. In fact, Gronert only gave up four hits in nine innings of work, but two came in the top of the seventh that allowed the Eagles to take the lead in a game that was supposed to go just seven innings. His teammates made sure he would not be handed the loss as some clutch hitting and small ball allowed them to tie the game in the bottom of the same inning to send things into extras. All was quiet until the bottom of the tenth when Blank once again singled in Brandon Beauchamp, this time for their first win of the year. Riley Wikel got the victory out of the bullpen, throwing a scoreless inning in the top of the tenth in a game where there was not a single extra base hit tallied.
MSOE STAT TRACKER – TWO GAME TOTALS

Runs Scored – Brandon Beauchamp (2)
