Box Score MILWAUKEE – You can now refer to MSOE women's soccer as queens of the north. The Raiders hosted Concordia Wisconsin in the NACC North division championship game and took care of business with two second half goals to win the 2020-21 season's top honor on Sunday afternoon at Viets Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
No. 1 seed MSOE (10-1-0, 7-1-0 NACC North) and No. 2 seed Concordia Wisconsin (8-3-0, 7-1-0 NACC North) have been familiar foes this season and had matched up evenly coming into this afternoon's ballgame. CUW won the first match by the score of 3-1 on March 24th while the Raiders took home the victory on April 18th via a 4-1 decision. With the series tied 1-1, the two squads entered the rubber match of their season series with divisional bragging rights on the line. The Red & White defense was stifling all day long, allowing just five total shots to the Falcons. However, CUW was able to score first on a penalty kick to give themselves the 1-0 lead. It would stay that way until the 47th minute when Brooke Zidek set up Nikki Ratts to tie up the ballgame. The game gave off the vibe that the next team to score would end up winning, and thankfully the Raiders were that team. Freshman Emma Halverson absolutely crushed a free kick from the top of the box and MSOE took the 2-1 advantage as it sailed into the top righthand corner of the net. The Red & White defense only allowed one CUW shot in the final 45 minutes as the Raiders win the contest 2-1, take the season series, and walk away as champions of the north division.
