HOW IT HAPPENED
It's not often that a game winning goal comes 1:10 into a contest but that is exactly what happened this evening for MSOE (5-1-0, 4-1-0 NACC North). Nikki Ratts tallied the first of two assists on the night when she helped out Megan Core to put the Raiders ahead 1-0. Ratts would be on the scoring end for the next tally as she buried a nice setup from Brooke Zidek. Later, McKayla Zastrow would put the finishing touches on the Raiders first half efforts with an unassisted score in the 19th minute. Core helped Ratts bury her second goal of the night to get things started after the intermission and the tandem of Zidek and Gabby Hoffman would score less than a minute apart to put the Raiders up by six. The last two goals were assisted by Emma Halverson and Ratts respectively to give the Red & White five assists on their six goals. Reagan Tompkins and Megan Lacina once again split duties in the net as the Raiders still haven't allowed a single tally in a match they have won this season.
