Box Score 2 GLENDALE, Wis. – MSOE baseball put themselves in a good spot yesterday by taking both games against Marian in Fond du Lac and looked to move even closer to the NACC North regular season title with two more wins over the Sabres. Unfortunately, the Raiders bats were silenced in game one though they came back to exact revenge in style with a walk off homer in game two to salvage a split on Sunday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
MSOE (13-13, 10-6 NACC North) was locked into a tense pitcher's duel against Marian (15-21, 10-6 NACC North) in the first ballgame of the day. Senior Mason LeBreck was stellar as he went eight innings and gave up just six hits. Unfortunately, a hit by pitch in the seventh and an error to start off the top of the ninth tilted the outcome of the contest towards the Sabres. Still, LeBreck was charged with just one earned run but was not able to get any run support in the 3-0 loss to open the afternoon.
It looked like the Raiders were going to be dealt their second loss of the day in game two as Marian built up a four-run lead by the end of the sixth inning. However, the Raiders bats were not going to be held silent again. Having already scored five runs in the contest, the Red & White went to work in the late stages of the game. Josh Beier doubled in two in the seventh to cut the Marian lead down to 9-7, Brandon Besch stroked a triple down the right field line to pull within one, and the cherry on top of this comeback sundae was a Blake Hall two run homer to end the game and send everyone home happy on family day by the score of 10-9.
WHO'S ON DECK
The Raiders will head into the last weekend of the regular season with a share of first place and own the tie breaker over Marian via a 3-1 season series win. They will look to control their own destiny when they take on Edgewood in a four-game slate starting on Saturday at home.
