Box Score Platteville, Wis. – The last time MSOE men's soccer saw the pitch they didn't score a single goal and yet they still walked away with the NACC North title after a 4-3 shootout victory. They didn't have any issues putting the ball in the back of the net this evening, however. The Raiders poured it on in the second half and came way with a season opening victory on the road against UW-Platteville by the score of 4-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (1-0-0) and UW-Platteville (0-1-0) didn't find the back of the net in the first half even though the two teams combined for 15 shots.
- Lucas D'Amato broke the stalemate with his first goal of the year at 50:41.
- Alexander Vujovic followed up less than a minute later with the helper going to Konrad Knap to make it a 2-0.
- Freddy Comparato ended the Raiders scoring with a goal that was set up by Connor Dees in the 66th minute.
- The Pioneers got one back with less than ten minutes to play but would not find the scoreboard again, giving the Raiders a two-goal victory.
RAIDER REMARKS
- Although the score favored the Red & White, the Pioneers outshot MSOE 18-12 in the contest.
- The Raiders have not lost a game against UW-Platteville since September of 2010 (five wins and one tie in six chances).
- Ron Marchionna's ten saves tonight is a new career best.
