Box Score MILWAUKEE – Just a few months removed from their NACC North championship, MSOE women's soccer was back on the pitch and looking to start off this season on the right foot. Unfortunately, they couldn't get anything going offensively as the Raiders fell in their season opener 2-0 to the Lutes of Pacific Lutheran University at Viets Field on Wednesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Pacific Lutheran (1-0-0) got the scoring started in the fifth minute with a goal from inside the box to put the Lutes up 1-0.
- MSOE (0-1-0) registered their first shot of the game when Jill Ruark sent the ball wide just under eight minutes into the matchup. It would be the first of three shots they would get off during the contest, all of which came in the first half.
- The Lutes made it 2-0 with a goal off a corner kick at 20:49 in the first half to end the scoring in the ballgame.
- PLU paced the Raiders in corner kicks 9-2 and outshot the Red & White 17-3.

WHO'S ON DECK
The Raiders will have two shots to get a win this weekend when then travel to Kenosha, Wis. to take on Albion and Luther in neutral site matchups. Those games will take place on Saturday at 5:00 pm and Sunday at 7:00 pm respectively.
