Box Score KENOSHA, Wis. – After being kept off the scoreboard in their season opener on Wednesday, MSOE women's soccer was determined to put that behind them and start fresh when they played in their first game of the "Battle on the Border" tournament. Unfortunately, they were unable to find the back of the net in the first half and their second frame production fell just short in a one goal loss to Albion.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Albion (1-1-0) did all of their damage in the first half. The Britons scored goals in the 10th, 19th, and 22nd minutes to give themselves a comfortable lead while their defense kept the Raiders off the scoreboard in the opening 45.
- MSOE (0-2-0) struck back early on in the second half. Nikki Ratts pulled the Red & White within two when she scored an unassisted tally at 49:55.
- The Raiders offensive attack was persistent in the back half of the game and was able to take eight corner kicks in the period compared to Albion's zero.
- Louisa Essuman scored her first Raider goal to bring MSOE within one. Unfortunately, it came late in the 90th minute.
- The Red & White were unable to score in the final 15 seconds of the contest leading to their second straight defeat.
RAIDER REMARKS
- MSOE outshot Albion to the tune of 25-15 and held a 14-7 advantage in the second half.

WHO'S ON DECK
The Raiders will wrap up the "Battle of the Border" tomorrow evening when they take on Luther in another neutral site contest from the campus of Carthage College in Kenosha, Wis. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
