Box Score MILWAUKEE – Some games can be won or lost in the first half and tonight was one of those contests for MSOE men's basketball. A 14-point halftime deficit proved to be too big of a hole for the Raiders as they fell to Wisconsin Lutheran by that same margin on Wednesday inside Hotchkin Arena.
FINAL SCORE
Wisconsin Lutheran – 73
MSOE RAIDERS – 59
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Neither team performed particularly well in the first half as both teams shot in the low 30's but it was the six three pointers that Wisconsin Lutheran (10-3, 5-2 NACC) hit that forced MSOE (5-9, 1-6 NACC) to play catchup later in the ballgame. The Red & White meanwhile went 1-4 in the opening frame and 1-10 overall from downtown.
- The Raiders shot better in the second half, 13 percentage points to be exact, but the Warriors matched them blow for blow as each club scored 38 points in the final 20.
- A 7-0 run to close out the contest allowed the Raiders to pull closer to WLC, but it was still too little too late in their 14-point loss to the Warriors.
RAIDER REMARKS
- The Warriors have had the Raiders number as of late, coming away with seven wins in the last ten meetings between the two ballclubs.
