Box Score MILWAUKEE – After not getting a winning decision in their last two games, MSOE women's soccer was gunning for three points in the standings when they welcomed Benedictine to Viets Field. The Raiders got what they were after and dominated the Eagles with a 3-0 victory on Saturday afternoon.
RESULT
Benedictine – 0
MSOE RAIDERS – 3
HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (10-3-4, 6-1-2 NACC) once again scored early and set the tone for the contest when Olivia Carroll took a Grace Quinn pass and put it past the Benedictine (5-9-2, 2-5-2 NACC) keeper at 1:27.
- The Raiders defense held the Eagles to just two shots in the first half which allowed them to preserve their 1-0 lead heading into the intermission.
- BU got two more shots off in the second frame, but both were saved by Page Sanchez, allowing the Raider offense to put a little more distance between themselves and their opponent.
- MSOE got on the board again in the 59th minute when Nicole Robb made a nice pass to Addison Spilman for the sophomore's seventh goal of the campaign. The Raiders would go on to make it 3-0 with less than 15 minutes left to go when Mariah Trevino and Daphne Milkert combined to assist on Elizabeth Kuhn's team leading eighth goal of the year to close out the scoring in the Raiders shutout victory.
RAIDER REMARKS
