With the regular season winding down for MSOE women's tennis, every contest is crucial for their playoff chances and seeding. The Raiders certainly helped out their cause this weekend though by taking home two big wins in NACC play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- vs. Illinois Tech
- MSOE (6-5, 6-1 NACC) knew they had a tough test ahead of them to begin the weekend when they traveled to Chicago to take on Illinois Tech (2-6, 2-4 NACC). The Raiders got things started off on the right foot by earning two points in doubles play, including a 8-4 win from Yuti Modi and Hope Triplett.
- The win was far from guaranteed though as the Scarlet Hawks came storming back with wins in the first, second, and sixth singles slots. Fortunately for the Red & White, they were still one point short.
- Wins from Modi, Brenna Sheehan, and Bethany Noonan sealed the deal for the Raiders and their first ever victory over Illinois Tech with a 5-4 score.
- vs. Lakeland
- The Raiders swept the weekend by downing Lakeland (3-5, 2-4 NACC) at home on Sunday. MSOE took two of the three doubles matches with wins of 8-6 and 8-5
- However, just like IIT, the Muskies wouldn't go down easy. They grabbed the first two singles competitions and took another to a third set tiebreaker. The Raiders won the last three though to lock down their sixth win of the NACC season.
- Sheehan and Noonan were perfect on the afternoon with a combined doubles win before taking home respective victories in the fifth and sixth spots.
WHO'S ON DECK
The Raiders will close out their 2022 NACC regular season next weekend with two big matches that will have tournament implications. They'll start with Concorida Wisconsin on Saturday before hosting Wisconsin Lutheran at home on Sunday.
