HOW IT HAPPENED
- vs. Elmhurst
- MSOE (4-21, 1-12 NACC) opened up day two with a match against the Bluejays of Elmhurst (7-18, 3-5 CCIW). The Raiders didn't have a bad game but had too many errors to ever get on the board with a victory.
- The Red & White lost the first match 25-17 before storming back with games that threatened the Bluejays straight set sweep. MSOE lost in set two 25-23 before forcing extra points in an eventual 27-25 loss.
- Abby Balkema and Ana Knutson each had seven kills while Gillian McDaniel had three aces in the 3-0 loss.
- vs. Mount Mary
- The Raiders already owned a 3-1 win over Mount Mary (8-20, 2-0 CAC) from earlier this season and they made quicker work of them than they did back then with a 3-0 sweep.
- The Red & White hit .183 as a team but had 41 kills compared to just 23 for the Blue Angels. MSOE won the first two sets with identical 25-15 scores before finishing them off with a 25-23 win in the third and final frame.
- Emma Braun had yet another double-double with 13 kills and 14 digs. Amanda Yackley also provided 27 assists in the victory.
