Box Score RIVER FOREST, Ill. – Saturday's contest between MSOE men's soccer and Dominican was as even as they come and it showed in the final score as the Raiders and Stars play to a 1-1 draw.
RESULT
MSOE RAIDERS – 1
Dominican – 1
HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (10-1-2, 5-1-1 NACC) came into the weekend afternoon contest looking to rebound from their first loss of the season this past Wednesday. The offense tried to kickstart things with seven first half shots, but nothing found the back of the net as 45 minutes went by without any crooked numbers on the scoreboard.
- Dominican (8-2-2, 5-2-1 NACC) turned the tables on the Red & White and outshot the good guys 7-6 in the second half. They would go on to finally brake the stalemate in the 71st minute to make it 1-0 Stars.
- It looked as if the Raiders were going to drop their second in a row before Kilian Oelrich took on the role as hero. He slipped one past the DU keeper with less than four and a half minutes left to tie the ballgame and salvage a point for the Red & White in a 1-1 tie.
RAIDER REMARKS
- Today's contest was the first draw between the two schools in the series history that dates back to 2006.
