Box Score RIVER FOREST, Ill. – With a big win against Concordia Wisconsin already under their belt this week, MSOE women's soccer headed down to Illinois to take on another top NACC team in Dominican. Unfortunately, the Raiders offense went quiet for the first time in a month and were dealt a 2-0 loss against the Stars.
RESULT
MSOE RAIDERS – 0
Dominican – 2
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Much like the men's contest that was played earlier in the day on the same field, MSOE (9-3-3, 6-1-1 NACC) and Dominican (9-3-2, 7-1 NACC) started off the match with a scoreless opening half. Though neither team found the back of the net, the Raiders were outshot 10-5.
- The Stars offensive attack would catch up to the Raiders in the second half though. Dominican took a 1-0 lead just three minutes into the frame before adding an insurance goal in the 62nd minute.
- The Red & White were only able to get three of their nine total shots on net as they were shutout and dealt their first NACC loss of the season.
RAIDER REMARKS
- The Raiders have scored just two goals against Dominican in their last three games and are 1-2 during that span.
