HOW IT HAPPENED
- vs. Rose-Hulman
- MSOE (1-5) started the day off against the Fighting Engineers of Rose-Hulman in a battle of two STEM schools.
- The Raiders were able to grab one of the three wins in doubles play with Daniel Lukasek and Joe Chong claiming the match 8-4.
- It was an up and down solo section for the Red & White, however. MSOE won two matches but could have easily won a third. Lukasek took home the victory in the second slot (6-2, 6-4) and Josh Fay helped out the cause with an extra points win in the sixth spot (6-2, 7-6)
- vs. North Central (Ill.)
- Unlike their match against RHIT, the Red & White were shutout in the pairs portion of the match against North Central (Ill.)
- The Raiders were still able to salvage singles action though and turned in one of their better performances against the Cardinal is quite some time.
- MSOE claimed three solo victories overall. Joe Chong won in a marathon thriller (6-4, 0-6, 12-10) as did Ryan Emerich (4-6, 6-2, 10-8). Fay rounded out the effort with a much more conventional result (6-3, 6-2) once again in the sixth spot.
