Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

GLENDALE, Wis. – MSOE baseball hit the diamond for the first of two weekend doubleheaders with Saturday's opponent being Wisconsin Lutheran. The Raiders had no issue on the offensive end and put up a total of 29 runs in their two game sweep of the Warriors.

RESULTS
MSOE RAIDERS – 18
Wisconsin Lutheran – 4

MSOE RAIDERS – 11
Wisconsin Lutheran – 4

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Game One
    • The MSOE (15-13, 10-4 NACC) bats were alive and well in the first game of their twin bill against Wisconsin Lutheran (8-18, 3-11 NACC). The Raiders plated a total of 18 runs off 19 hits and easily mercy ruled the Warriors 18-4.
    • The big inning for the Red & White was the top of the third where they scored seven runs. Collin Truitt homered to drive in three of his six RBIs, Josh Beier tripled to bring in a pair, and Francis Ryan and Beier each scored on wild pitches.
    • Chris Barnes got the win with five strong innings of scoreless ball and Luke Schraufnagel was solid out of the pen with a clean inning of his own in which he struck out the side.
  • Game Two
    • Game two featured four more runs from the WLC offense and a lot more from the Raiders. Three was the magic number for the Red & White as they scored that many in three different innings to easily grab command of the game.
    • Micah Overley had three RBIs and Cobey Alderden and Truitt each had a pair. MSOE collected 10 more hits with all but two Raiders in the lineup reaching first base safely via the batted ball.
    • Tyler Gronert got the start and struck out 11 batters while Jeffery Stanish closed things out in a non-save situation as the Red & White won 11-4.

RAIDER REMARKS

  • The game was played at MSOE Raiders Stadium with the Red & White as the away team due to field conditions at WLC's home ballpark.
