RACINE, Wis. – Back in the NACC tournament for another year, MSOE men's tennis was looking to make their third straight semifinals when they hosted Lakeland at Racine Indoor Tennis Club. The Raiders had no major issues in sweeping the fish and earned a 5-0 victory on Tuesday.
MATCH SCORE
No. 6 Lakeland – 0
No. 3 MSOE RAIDERS – 5
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lakeland (2-11, 2-5 NACC) gave MSOE (8-12, 5-2 NACC) a scare in the top doubles spot and almost forced a tiebreak against the Raiders pair of Alec Dam and Alex Nakasato. The duo was able to dismiss the Muskies 8-6 however with the other two matches being won by the Red & White 8-1 and 8-0.
- MSOE had no issues in singles play though. Nakasato and Joe Chong took their matches final with wins of 6-1, 6-1 and 6-2, 6-1 respectively to lock down the five points the Raiders needed to take home the contest.
WHAT'S NEXT
