MEQUON, Wis. – MSOE men's tennis was back in the NACC semifinals and looking to advance to their first conference championship match when they took on Concordia Wisconsin. Unfortunately, the Falcons wouldn't let the Raiders get on the board as the Red & White were swept 5-0 on Friday evening.
MATCH SCORE
No. 3 MSOE RAIDERS – 0
No. 2 Concordia Wisconsin – 5
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Third seeded MSOE (8-13, 5-2 NACC) didn't get off to a good start against second seeded Concordia Wisconsin (10-9, 6-1 NACC) in their semifinal matchup and dropped the first three doubles matches to the Falcons. The teams of Daniel Lukasek/Joe Chong and Josh Fay/Benjamin Steves came the closest to victories but still fell short with 8-4 decisions.
- Lukasek and Chong were on the losing ends of the other two points in singles play that CUW needed to end the match. Lukasek fell 3-6, 4-6 in the second spot while Chong lost 3-6, 1-6 in the fourth position. The Raiders were very competitive in several other matches but those went unfinished once the deciding point was taken by the Falcons.
