WAUKESHA, Wis. – MSOE women's tennis opened up the 2022 season by making the short trek west to take on Carroll (Wis.) Unfortunately, the Raiders didn't have much luck against the Pioneers as they fell by seven on Thursday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Carroll (1-0) dominated doubles play on Thursday, taking all three sets without too much trouble. Yuti Modi and Gabrielle Haensgen put up the best fight however with an 8-3 loss out of the third pairs slot.
- The Pioneers won the first four singles matches as well before Haensgen grabbed MSOE's (0-1) first victory of the day with a 6-3, 6-4 win in the fifth spot.
- That was all the Red & White could muster though as they drop their first match of the season via an 8-1 score.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Raiders will try again for win number one when they host Alverno on Saturday, September 10th. First serve from Milwaukee is scheduled for 10:00 am.
