Box Score MILWAUKEE – MSOE men's basketball looked to key in on their defense to bring back a spark after two tough losses when they took on the Green Knights of St. Norbert. However, even in a low scoring affair, the Red & White couldn't turn the corner and fell to SNC on Tuesday evening.
FINAL SCORE
St. Norbert - 55
MSOE RAIDERS – 48
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Cade Beekman got the game going with a layup and three-pointer to put MSOE (8-8, 4-5 NACC) up 5-0 just three and a half minutes in. The three-pointers kept coming with Max Beuthin and Matus Dopirak each connecting from long range to give the Raiders a 22-11 advantage with 5:07 left in the first half before going into the break leading 25-21.
- The slim lead the Raiders had going into the back half of the ballgame was not enough as St. Norbert (10-7, 7-3 NACC) tied the game at 29 with 14:30 left to go. SNC would grow their lead to six before a three pointer from Carter and a pair of baskets from Mason Dopirak put the Raiders back ahead with just under seven minutes to play.
- St. Norbert took control back less than two minutes later and used the clock to take off time as best they could. A Dopirak three-pointer while being fouled tried to spark a comeback for the Red & White, but it wouldn't be enough as the Green Knight pulled away for the victory.
