Women's Soccer Blanks Regents

MILWAUKEE – The MSOE women's soccer team controlled the ball and momentum the whole match, leading to a shutout victory over Rockford University Wednesday evening.

RESULT
MSOE RAIDERS – 3

Rockford - 0

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Elizabeth Kuhn got the scoring started with her ninth goal of the season from Grace Quinn to give MSOE (12-1-3, 8-1-0 NACC) a 1-0 lead. The Raiders controlled the ball for a vast majority of the first half only allowing one shot off from Rockford (3-10-0, 0-9-0), saved by Page Sanchez. Later in the half on a corner kick, Claire Bradford found Maggie Thillman for a header for her second of the season as the Raiders headed into the break leading 2-0.
  • Just when the Raiders thought they could play a more perfect half, they improved still, allowing the Regents to get zero shots off continuing to control the ball. With the ball sitting just in front of the net, it rolled right to Samantha Shaver perfectly for her third on the season to add to the Raiders dominance, as they went into full-time in a 3-0 victory.
