Men's Soccer Cruises Past Eagles

MILWAUKEE – After allowing an early goal, the MSOE men's soccer team rolled out everyone as they cruised to a large victory over Benedictine University.

RESULT
MSOE RAIDERS – 6

Benedictine - 2

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Benedictine (5-9-1, 4-6-1 NACC) struck in what felt like a heartbeat in the first 45 seconds for the 1-0 lead. MSOE (13-1-3, 9-0-2 NACC) weren't phased one bit as it was a scoring spree for the rest of the first half. Three Raiders notched their first goals of the season (Danny Aranda, Jonny Keane, & Austin Killen), along with two getting their second of the season (Nathan Dresen and Enzo Bova). Freddy Comparato netted his sixth of the year as they went into the break with a commanding 6-1 lead.
  • The Raiders allowed just one more goal in the second half in what felt like a perfectly executed defensive approach the rest of the way from that early goal. Patrick Marshall and Ethan Houseworth each had two second half saves in goal and the defense allowed zero corner kick opportunities.
