MILWAUKEE – The MSOE women's volleyball team picked up two wins today at the Mount Mary Fall Invite, sweeping both Maranatha Baptist University and Luther College.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- vs. Maranatha Baptist
- MSOE (7-16, 1-10 NACC) had to put up fights in the first set and the third set as Maranatha Baptist (13-13) kept things tight and thrilling. The Sabercats were down just by one 20-19 late in the first set, but two kills from Emily Stratton and Ana Knutson sparked the final points needed in the set. While the Sabercats were down just by one throughout the third set and within striking, they could never get over the hump as a kill from Ava Larson ended the match.
- The Raiders absolutely dominated the second set, having four of their ten services aces come including three from Alexis Hicks. Hicks' serving ended the set on a 7-0 run as the Raiders won the set 25-8.
- vs. Luther
- The Raiders rolled right into the first set with a 9-1 run to explode open against Luther (8-19, 1-6 American Rivers). The Norse made their way to within for until a kill from Emma Schattschneider ended the set 25-19. The Norse had a lead 17-15 midway through the second set until a kill from Gillian McDaniel started a 10-1 run to put away the second set 25-18.
- The Norse picked things up again with a 10-7 advantage in the third set, holding until 21-20. A kill from Knutson tied up the set with a kill from Schattschneider ended the match.
WHO'S ON DECK
The Raiders return home tomorrow for a Senior Day tri-match as they host Edgewood College at 12:00 PM and Augustana College at 4:00 PM.
