MILWAUKEE – The MSOE men's hockey team had two players with multi-goal games as they picked up their second win of the season this afternoon hosting Saint Mary's University.
FINAL SCORE
MSOE RAIDERS – 6
Saint Mary's (Minn.) - 3
HOW IT HAPPENED
- While MSOE (2-0-0, 0-0-0 NCHA) ended last night hot, it was Saint Mary's (0-2-0, 0-0-0 MIAC) who struck first just three minutes in. A power play midway through the first period got the game tied up with a goal from Brennan Dickey from Carson Jones and Cole Beilke as they went into the half locked in at one.
- The Cardinals broke the scoreless second period six minutes in, but the scoring from the Raiders came soon and rapidly. Preston Park and Jacob Bosse scored within 19 seconds of each other to tie the game and take a 3-2 lead. Carson Jones continued to add to create cushion heading into the third period with a 4-2 lead.
- Yet again, the Cardinals came out of the period scoring, this time in the first minute to cut their deficit. After forcing a power play, Bosse netted his second of the game from Gramm McCormack extending the lead. Jones put the game away with an empty netter as they picked up their second win of the season.
