Box Score GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The MSOE women's soccer team went head-to-head with the Denison Big Red in the first round of the NCAA tournament. The Raiders stayed patient through a tough first half and brought home the first tournament win in program history, 2-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (20-1-3, 14-1-0 NACC) and Denison (8-5-6, 3-2-2 NCAC) held each other in check in the first half, with neither team being able to muster anything on the offensive end. The Raiders had several corner kick opportunities from Emma Halverson but couldn't convert from inside the box.
- The Raiders offense showed up immediately in the second half, with Elizabeth Kuhn scoring two goals in the first ten minutes of the second half, deflating the Big Red.
- The Raiders held the Big Red to just eight shots on goal, killing any hopes the Big Red had of coming back.
