HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (6-1, 2-0 NACC) and Aurora (6-1, 1-1 NACC) both entered the contest at the top of the NACC. The Raiders jumped out to an early lead behind the pick and roll game of Mahima Chokshi and Dani Mendez. The Raiders would hold Aurora to just six points in the first quarter and ended the quarter up 14-6.
- The Raiders would continue to pursue and harass the Spartans as Aurora tried to get their perimeter offense in rhythm. The Raiders held the Spartans to one for twelve shooting from beyond the arc and kept Aurora deep in the shot clock on nearly every possession. The Raiders would go into halftime up ten points, 25-15.
- The Spartans would not go quietly as they finally began to get in gear on offense and used a 1-3-1 zone to slow the Raiders offense just as it was gaining steam. The Spartans cut the Raider lead to just two points with four minutes left, but clutch free throws from Mahima Chokshi and Halena Hill helped seal the deal and keep the win streak alive for the Raiders.
