Raiders Plunder Buccaneers In Blowout

MILWAUKEE – MSOE men's lacrosse got back to conference play and hosted Beloit at a soggy Viets Field for a weeknight battle. The Raiders used a 10-0 run to start the game to put away the Buccaneers before they even got started in a blowout victory on Wednesday night.

RESULT
Beloit – 4
MSOE RAIDERS – 16

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • MSOE (8-4, 5-0 NACC) scored the first goal of the game at 11:09 when Soren Savard netted an unassisted tally, and they were off to the races from there. The Raiders scored the game's first ten goals, a stretch that carried on into the third quarter.
  • Beloit (2-9, 1-4 NACC) finally got on the board at 12:19 in the third quarter with a man-up goal but the Red & White defense still stood tall and kept the Buccaneers scoring to a minimum.
  • Two extra man goals from Sam Borup and Kyle Hedblom helped offset any damage done by the visitors in the fourth, a frame where they doubled up Beloit 4-2.
  • The Raiders scored 16 goals on 64 shots while limiting the Buccaneers to just four off 18 attempts in a blowout 12 goal victory.
RAIDER REMARKS
  • After having the first six games of the series fall in Beloit's favor, the Raiders have won the last three by a total score of 60-18.
