Box Score KALAMAZOO, Mich. - MSOE women's soccer was back in action 24 hours after their season opening win and were looking to make it two-for-two when they took on Kalamazoo. It looked like the Raiders were on their way to a perfect road trip before the Hornets stung them with two late goals as each team had to settle for a 90-minute tie.
RESULT
MSOE RAIDERS – 2
Kalamazoo – 2
HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (1-0-1) and Kalamazoo (0-0-2) each had two shots in the opening period but neither team found the back of the net and we entered the second half of the contest tied at 0-0.
- The Raiders were the first on the board however, and when they finally scored, they did so quickly. Grace Quinn was first up at 64:54, literal seconds before teammate Leena Afifi also sent one home at 65:34.
- Unfortunately, the Hornets had some fight left in them and used two late goals, including one that came in the 89th minute to tie the game at 2-2. Neither team could find the go-ahead tally with what little time was remaining in full time draw.
RAIDER REMARKS
- The last two contests between these ballclubs have ended in a stalemate. Outside of those two games, each squad has one win against the other in the four-game series that dates back to 2016.
