Raiders Blank Foresters in Weekend Sweep

MILWAUKEE – The MSOE men's hockey team found themselves in a true defensive battle with Lake Forest College Saturday night and found themselves with victorious with ease.

FINAL SCORE
MSOE RAIDERS – 2

Lake Forest - 0

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The first period showed everyone that this was going to be a true defensive battle as few shots were taken in the period with Lake Forest (6-15-0, 3-11-0 NCHA) having the advantage 6-5. MSOE (11-8-2, 5-8-1 NCHA) still found a way to breakup the silence as Luke Stevens found the feed from Jack Karges and Steve Guo as they headed into the break leading 1-0.
  • The Raiders picked up the shot totals in the second period with 13 and it was Carson Jones who took it himself to extend the lead up to two midway through the second period. Austin Schwab remained calm yet again in net for the Raiders, keeping the Foresters off the board the rest of the way for the shutout victory.
