ROCKFORD, Ill. – MSOE rowing rolled into Rockford, Illinois for the Head of the Rock Regatta, as the Red and White competed against schools from Division I, II and III up and down the Rock River. The Men's 4+ led the way once again, as they took 2
nd place by a razor-thin margin, finishing less than a second behind the top boat from Notre Dame.
RESULTS
The men's team saw two boats compete on the Rock River, as MSOE's crew of senior captain

Ray Tinianow nearly captured a victory for the Red and White in the Men's Collegiate 4+, finishing less than two tenths of a second behind Norte Dame with an official time of 16:44.174. In the Men's Collegiate 8+, the Raiders would take fourth with a time of 15:23.499, as the Red and White lineup featured Tinianow as the coxswain, with LeMay, Miller, Otten and Suzuki joined by
Aiden Bush, junior captain
Andre DeWet-Daniels, David Frenkel, and
Garin Schilling.
The women's team submitted two boats on Sunday, as they looked to bounce back from equipment malfunctions at the Milwaukee River Challenge last weekend. The Raiders finished 15
th in the Women's Collegiate 4+ as coxswain and captain
Annika West led the Red and White crew of
Ava Pike,
Allison Bauer,
Madison Mina and captain
Brooke Stanley down the Rock River with a time of 21:44.362. In the Women's Collegiate 8+, MSOE would take 13
th, as the 4+ crew was joined by
Fabi Wachholz,
Autumn Bunker,
Duaa Aljalous, and
Katerina Flierl to fill out the boat as they crossed the finish line with a time of 20:52.925.

The men's team will head to Cambridge, Mass. next weekend for the Head of the Charles Regatta on Sunday, October 20
th. The men and women will then gear up for the Head of the Hooch Regatta starting on Saturday, November 2
nd in Chattanooga, Tenn.
