MILWAUKEE – The MSOE women's tennis team made history on Wednesday night, as they beat the Falcons of Concordia University Wisconsin for the first time in program history by a score of 4-3.  The Raiders had dropped 20 straight contests against CUW entering Wednesday night's contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• MSOE (7-3, 6-1 NACC) and CUW (5-5, 5-4) squared off in doubles to open the action, as the Raiders and Falcons split the first two matches of the evening with Stephania Gonzalez and Delaney Premeau delivering the first Red and White win of the day with a score of 6-4.  #3 Doubles pair Brenna Sheehan and Michaela Haensgen would secure the win and the point for the Raiders with a marathon 7-5 win to wrap up doubles play.
• The doubles advantage would prove to be critical for the Raiders, as they split the singles matches against the Falcons with three wins and three losses.  Gonzalez would add her second win of the day from the #2 Singles slot as she breezed past her opponent with a final score of 6-1, 6-1.  Her doubles teammate Premeau would also secure a singles win (6-3, 6-1) as MSOE and CUW fought tooth and nail for a crucial conference victory.  M. Haensgen would prove to be the difference maker for the Red and White as the senior battled to a third set and walked away the victor with a final score of 4-6, 6-3, 6-1, as MSOE toppled CUW for the first time in over 20 years.

WHO'S ON DECK
The Raiders will clash with the Green Knights of St. Norbert College on Sunday, October 13^th.  The action is set to begin at 9:30AM from Nicolet High School in Glendale, Wis.
