MEQUON, Wis. – The MSOE women's hockey team was smothered defensively as they were shutout by Concordia University Wisconsin on the road Saturday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Concordia Wisconsin (5-2-0, 4-0-0 NCHA) came out firing with 17 shots on Jenna Kent. A shorthanded opportunity for the Falcons got their scoring started before just a few minutes later an even strength goal quickly made it 2-0. MSOE (2-4-0, 1-3-0 NCHA) didn't record its first shots on goal until right at the end when Darby Boughan and Stacey Cloute each had opportunity that couldn't get passed.
• The Raiders picked up their offensive rhythm upping their shot total to eight and holding the Falcons to just 12 in the second period. Midway through, the Falcons added to their tally to have a 3-0 lead after two. The Falcons went back to dominating the offensive end recording 21 shots while adding another goal to their total, allowing the Raiders to only get two of their own off and unable to add to the scoreboard.
