HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Raiders had their foot on the gas from the first bout and never let up against CUW, as Jesse Johnson got the Raiders on the board with a win via forfeit, followed up by a stellar performance from Liam Anderson, who delivered a 19-2 tech fall win over his opponent to put MSOE up 11-0 early.
- The Raiders would go on a tear from 141 to 174, winning five straight matches via fall as Alexander Ramirez, Max Sanderfoot, Connor Nagela, Toren Vandenbush and Diego Snell-Martinez would pin their opponents shoulders to the mat for the 1-2-3. MSOE led CUW by a whopping 41-0 with three matches left on the card.
- Both Jackson Hughes and Jake Schmitt would score victories for the Red and White as Hughes continued to impress with a 19-3 tech fall win and Schmitt posted a gritty 10-1 major decision win.
- Gavin Graham closed things out with a bang for the Raiders, as the junior who normally competes at 184 stepped in to win big at 285, scoring a 10-3 decision victory as MSOE secured a massive shutout win in their first home action of the season.
