STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The MSOE women's hockey team made yet another road trip on Saturday, this time to UW-Stevens Point, as the Red and White were shutout 3-0 by the Pointers.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Raiders (2-8-1, 1-4-1 NCHA) and Pointers (6-3-1) held each other in check for most of the opening twenty minutes, as both Darby Boughan and Stacey Cloute saw shots saved by the Pointers goalie.  Stevens Point would take a 1-0 lead at the 18:14 of the first period.  It was more of the same in the second half, as Jenna Kent continued to stop shots for the Red and White until the Pointers snuck another past with just under five minutes left to play in the second period.
• Despite three opportunities on the power play in the final period of play, the Raiders were unable to find the back of the net against the staunch Pointer defense.  MSOE outshot Stevens point 15-4 in the third, including five from Amy MacDonald as the Red and White recorded the last eleven shots of the game, but the Pointers would be the only ones adding to the scoreboard as the Raiders fell 3-0.
