MILWAUKEE – The MSOE men's volleyball team had an all-time battle with #13 University of California-Santa Cruz, unfortunately fallings short in four sets.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Neither created a clear advantage until the midway point after a dump from Parker Rings led a 3-0 to give MSOE (10-8, 7-2 NACC) a 17-12 lead. After trading multiple points, California-Santa Cruz (14-9, 0-0 D3 Independent) flipped a switch and closed on a long run to take a first set 26-24.
- The Raiders found their momentum they had in the first set to open set two after a 9-4 start, capped by a kill from Callan Harris. The Banana Slugs quickly worked back into the set taking a 15-14 midway through, but the Raiders continued stay in it. After trading blows with each other, Seth Thomas killed the final point to take the second set 27-25 to tie it up at one.
- The Banana Slugs flipped their beginning of the set approach, having their largest lead of the day with a 18-11 lead. The Raiders made one shot at closing the gap with kills from Tommy Clausz and Antonio Llona Baez but was ultimately held short 25-21. Hoping to force a fifth set, Harris and the Raiders continued to put the pressure on with a 14-10 lead. The Banana Slugs eventually tied things up and found momentum to close things up 25-22.
