HOW IT HAPPENED
- Johnson didn't waste time on having another hat-trick performance, finishing it in the first quarter as MSOE (4-7, 2-2 NACC) held the three-goal advantage at the end of the first. Marian (5-9, 1-2 NACC) had their turn in the second quarter to score three straight as the two headed into the break tied at three.
- The Sabres took a two-goal lead before Johnson netted her fourth goal of the day from Vayda Flower. The two then traded goals as Olivia Carroll scored her second of the year before a late third quarter goal put the Sabres ahead 7-5. The Raiders had no answer in the fourth quarter, being shut out with the Sabres adding some insurance goals to seal their win.
