FOND DU LAC, Wis.– Despite narrowly missing the playoffs, the MSOE men's lacrosse team ended their season in style with a 17-1 win over the Marian Sabres, as
Dawson Smith led the way for the Raiders with seven points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Raiders (8-8, 4-4 NACC) shutout the Sabres (3-10, 2-6 NACC) in a low-scoring first half, despite putting up 15 shots, MSOE led just 3-0 at the end of the first quarter thanks to goals from Dawson Smith and Ethan Marasco . The Raider's lead would only increase to 4-0 at the half, as notched his second helper of the game on a Jake Tralongo goal.
- With 30 minutes left to play in their season, the Raiders exploded on the offensive end in the second half, as Smith and Sean Roberts both converted man-up opportunities in the third quarter for MSOE. Smith would tally points on all four Raider goals in the third frame, scoring three and assisting on Roberts'. Six different Raiders would tally goals in the fourth quarter as MSOE ran away with their final win of the season. Despite giving up a late goal, the Raiders defense completely shut down the Sabres, as Marian turned the ball over 34 times. MSOE won the ground ball battle 53-24, while also dominating on faceoffs, winning 17-of-21.
