Women's Lacrosse Drops Conference Opener

MILWAUKEE – The MSOE women's lacrosse team played in their first ever Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) game but couldn't slow down the hot start from Aurora University.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Aurora (6-6, 2-0 NACC) had a blazing start with seven goals within the first eight minutes. The Spartans added their eighth goal in the final minutes of the first quarter but slowed down the scoring in the second quarter to have a 12-0 lead at the break.
  • MSOE (2-4, 0-1 NACC) broke the shutout minutes into the second half when Vayda Flower found Lilly Johnson for her eleventh goal of the season. The Spartans continued extended their lead, going up 16-1 after the third. The Raiders only allowed one more goal the rest of the way as Jenna Kent scored her first career goal on a free position in the final minutes.
