MSOE Names Santiago Head Baseball Coach

MILWAUKEE – Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) athletics is excited to announce the hiring of Adrian Santiago as the head coach for the baseball team.

"We are excited to welcome Adrian to our Raider family; he brings valuable experience and is a tremendous recruiter" said Athletic Director Bill Massoels. "At each of Adrian's stops he has proved he's been able to develop players and programs, and we are confident that Adrian will take MSOE baseball to that next level."

Santiago brings experience from a variety of collegiate levels, most recently at Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri, where he was the recruiting coordinator and head assistant coach. In 2022, the Gorlocks pitching staff led the Saint Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) in every major statistical category from the mound, including the seventh best ERA in the nation amongst DIII schools. The Webster pitching staff featured three all-conference and two all-region pitchers during Santiago's tenure.

"I first want to thank Bill Massoels and the entire athletic department for this tremendous opportunity to lead the MSOE baseball program." said Santiago. "I am truly honored and excited to have been chosen for this role."

Prior to his time with Webster, Santiago served as the interim recruiting coordinator, director of operations, and assistant coach at Northwestern University, following a stint as a graduate assistant for Quincy University. Santiago also spent time as the head coach at the Premier Pitching Performance Lab in Saint Louis.

"I am eager to contribute to the growth and success of our baseball program, and I look forward to working closely with our student-athletes and the entire administration to foster a positive and successful environment. The administration's confidence in my abilities means a lot to me, and I am committed to upholding the standards of excellence that MSOE values."

Santiago replaces Steve Sanfilippo, who was head coach of the Raiders since the 2014 season, with a career record of 208-203.
