Men's Basketball Streak Snapped at Falcons

MEQUON, Wis. – The MSOE men's basketball team couldn't get anything to fall in the first half on Wednesday evening as their five game winning streak was put to an end at Concordia University Wisconsin.

FINAL SCORE
MSOE RAIDERS – 75

Concordia Wisconsin - 85

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Concordia Wisconsin (8-8, 6-5 NACC) took things from the jump, scoring after the opening tip before quickly going up 11-2 three and a half minutes in. Logan Landers of the Falcons went on a run of his own after to take a 15-point minutes later that extended to 18 at the halfway point. A pair of layups from Joey Jendusa and free throws from Donovan Carter cut things down to 12 but that only made the Falcons stronger as their lead became 24 before heading into the break leading 46-25.
  • The Raiders upped their shooting percentage in the second half to 53% after struggling in the first half with a 27.6% percent. Despite the increase in buckets going in, the Falcons continued putting their foot on the gas to answer everything the Raiders were throwing at them. The Raiders hit six threes over the final 20 minutes, including three from Chase Cummings, but couldn't pull things closer until the final minute with baskets from Brady Gregg, CJ Valente, and Scott Szymkowiak, but it was too late.
