WHITEWATER, Wis. – The MSOE men's track & field team returned to the track after weekend break last week.
Daniel Geerts continues his hot streak to start his career with another school record to lead the men to a third-place finish at the Karl Schlender Invitational, hosted by University of Wisconsin-Whitewater

- Geerts after just two weeks ago opening his collegiate campaign with a school record, shatters it again running 8.46 in the final, taking .12 seconds off to finish fifth. He also set a massive personal best, leaping 1.92 meters in the high jump to finish second, just off the national qualifying list.
- Nolan Pinion in his debut in the 3,000-meter distance cruised to victory, winning in 8:44.84, just three seconds off the school record, with Kolby Dax finishing in second (9:03.62) and Patrick Lee in third (9:06.31), respectively. Adam Shaw also led a massive sweep in the 800-meter run, winning in 1:56.06, with AJ Springer hot on his tail in 1:56.68 and Chase Nogalski in third in 1:58.90. Geerts, Shaw, and Springer teamed with Daniel Burant for the 4x400-meter relay to finish third in 3:34.50.
- In the field events, Logan Marks took third in the pole vault, vaulting 4.27 meters. In the throws, Ethan Wrasman finished fourth in the shot put with a toss of 14.25 meters and fifth in the weight throw with 15.58 meters. Elijah Villa finished just behind in the weight throw in sixth with a toss of 15.31 meters.
