MILWAUKEE – The MSOE men's wrestling team secured two wins on their home turf Monday evening, as the Raiders cruised past Carthage College and Illinois Wesleyan University by a combined score of 85-16 as the Raiders look to continue their momentum in the new year.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- vs. Illinois Wesleyan
- The Raiders jumped out to an early 18-0 lead after fall victories from Jesse Johnson and Max Sanderfoot, with Johnson scoring a pin in just 45 seconds over his Titan opponent.
- Toren Vandenbush would continue his winning ways, scoring a fall in 52 seconds as he pushed the MSOE lead to 24-10 and after Diego Snell-Martinez and Gavin Graham wins via forfeit, the Red and White found themselves ahead 36-10.
- Jake Schmitt put the bow on the first MSOE dual of the day with a pinfall win in 2:37 as MSOE sent IWU packing with a 42-10 win.
- vs. Carthage College
- The Raiders took the lead and never gave it up, dropping only one single match via forfeit against the Firebirds as four different Raiders recorded pinfall victories, including a buzzer-beater from Sanderfoot who scored his fall at the 5:58 mark.
- Javier Sevilla recorded his first career win via fall at the 4:08 mark, followed up by fellow freshman Vandenbush and Jackson Hughes each scoring major decision wins as the MSOE lead reached 37-0. Graham and Schmitt capped off the evening by grinding out a couple hard-fought decision wins as MSOE went 2-0 in their first action since last year.
