MILWAUKEE – The MSOE men's & women's soccer teams swept the defensive players of the week honors with
Adrian Manchado and
Page Sanchez winning the awards. This is Manchado's second-straight week earning the honors.
Manchado, a senior defender from Cubas de la Sagra Madrid, Spain, scored the opening two goals and added an assist in the Raiders' 6-0 win at Wisconsin Lutheran on Oct. 8. During the week, he helped anchor a backline that allowed only one goal and just two shots on goal as MSOE defeated WLC and Concordia Wisconsin (6-1) in NACC play.
Sanchez, a senior goalkeeper from Niwot, Colorado, posted back-to-back shutouts as the Raiders scored NACC victories over Wisconsin Lutheran (2-0) and Concordia Wisconsin (1-0). She made just one save against the Warriors while tallying five against the Falcons.
Sanchez and the women are back in action later tonight as they'll host University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Manchado and the men take the field tomorrow, October 15
th, as they welcome Lakeland University.
