Picha Nets Twice Quarterfinal Win over Stars

MILWAUKEE – For the second time this season, the MSOE men's soccer defeated Dominican University in a three goal shut as Nico Picha nailed two goals in the span of a minute and a half to seal it.

RESULT
No. 4 MSOE RAIDERS – 3

No. 5 Dominican - 0

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Ditar Useni didn't waste any time putting MSOE (12-5-3, 8-3-1 NACC) ahead, scoring ten minutes into the game. The shot totals stayed even as each team got two more on goal with neither breaking it past as the Raiders headed into the break with a 1-0 lead.
  • After 17 minutes into the second half beginning, Picha put the game on ice, first scoring taking a free kick from the left side and then two minutes later receiving a pass from Adrian Manchado in the middle to easy send it home to make it 3-0. Dominican (7-8-4, 7-3-2 NACC) only made two more plays at the net as Christian Dershem got in front of both to end it.
