HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (2-3, 0-0 NACC) opened the game on an 8-1 run before Coe (5-1, 0-0 American Rivers) made it a one-point game with 14:17 remaining in the first half. The Raiders were able to attack the paint and brought the lead back up to seven after a layup from Carson Cordelli 10:58 to go in the first half. The Kohawks took their first lead of the game with 9:26 to go as the two sides then started to trade leads. A layup from Mason Dopirak gave the Raiders a 28-27 lead with 4:10 remaining as they held that lead at the break 33-32.
- Back-to-back threes from Cordelli and Chase Cummings out of the break put the Raiders at a double-digit lead before a pair of free throws from Dopirak gave them their largest lead of the day with 12 with 14:45 to play. The Kohawks found their sweet spot from behind the arch to cut it to within five just after the 12-minute media timeout. Dopirak brought the lead back to double-digits after a jumper and three-pointer and with 8:56 to play, Cummings buried a three to make it 68-53. Hoping that that bucket would put the game away, the Kohawks made a late charge to cut the game to within eight, but the lead proved too large as the Raiders held them off.
