APPLETON, Wis. – The MSOE Women's Hockey team recorded their first win of the 2025-26 season on Friday night, as the Raiders dismantled the Vikings of Lawrence University in a 4-1 triumph on the road as they opened their conference schedule.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (1-2-0, 1-0-0 NCHA) and Lawrence (0-4-0, 0-1-0 NCHA) held each other in check through the first 20 minutes of play, as neither team found the back of the net in the first period, with the Raiders and Vikings striking out on two early powerplay opportunities apiece. The Raiders would break through on their third chance however, going up 1-0 five minutes into the second period, as Emily Reiner converted the powerplay chance thanks to a slick pass from Arial Lapsa. Hannah Baumann would add another for the Raiders just under three minutes later, as Kiera Ballweg and Sara Kopf added assists on what would be the game-winning goal.
- With just seconds left in the second period, Lawrence would record their first goal of the evening, cutting the Raider lead to 2-1 as the teams went to the final intermission. MaryFrancis Williams would tally a goal just three minutes into the third period, with Lapsa adding her second assist of the game. Alexa Novak would stand tall the rest of the way for the Red and White, finishing with twelve saves as Helen Bechthold added an empty net goal to wrap up the Raiders first win of the season in style.

The Raiders will make their home debut tomorrow, November 8
th against the Vikings as they close out their two-game series. Drop of the puck is scheduled for 4:00 P.M. in the Kern Ice Arena.
