HOW IT HAPPENED
- After trading baskets early on, Stevens Point (1-0, 0-0 WIAC) made the first jump at building a lead, making it double digits with nine minutes remaining in the first half. After Jonathan Burroughs knocked in an and-one, MSOE (0-1, 0-0 NACC) went on a run to tie up the game at 31 after a three from Isaac Wit was nailed. A pair of free throws from Matus Dopirak put the Raiders back ahead but the Pointers would answer with a three just before half to take a 34-33 lead at the break.
- After a pair of baskets from the Pointers, the Raiders would cut the deficit down to two after Wit hit another three pointer. That would be the slimmest margin the Raiders would force for the remainder of the game as the Pointers made it double digits with 15 minutes remaining and as large as 20 with five minutes to go and didn't let up.
