SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico – The MSOE women's basketball team's seven-game winning streak came to a halt on Sunday afternoon, as the Raiders fell to the Grizzlies of Franklin College to close out the Puerto Rico Clasico.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (7-2, 2-0 NACC) fell behind Franklin (8-3, 3-1 HCAC) after the Grizzlies took an early 5-0 lead, before the Raiders went on a short 6-0 run to take their first lead of the afternoon on an Emily Troia layup. The Raiders and Grizzlies would trade shots back-and-forth to close the first quarter, with free throws from Shelby Glodowski closing the frame with the Red and White trailed by just one point at 15-14. The Grizzlies defense would stifle the Raiders in the second quarter, holding MSOE to just seven points as Franklin led 30-21 at the break.
- Following the halftime break, Halena Hill would connect from deep on the first MSOE possession of the second half, cutting the Grizzlies lead to six points. Franklin would convert shots in the paint on four consecutive possessions as the Red and White fell behind by as much as nineteen points in the third quarter. The Raiders would fight until the very end, with a Lana Kerley layup cutting the MSOE deficit to single digits at the 2:13 mark of the fourth quarter, as the Grizzlies stopped the Raiders win streak at seven games with a final score of 64-53.
