MILWAUKEE – After dropping a closely fought first set, the MSOE men's volleyball defeated Marian University with ease from there Saturday afternoon inside the Kern Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Things felt even until a 6-1 run that was capped with an ace from Matthew Schultz gave MSOE (4-8, 3-0 NACC) a 13-7 lead. After extending that lead to 20-12, Marian (8-8, 2-3 NACC) began to catch fire offensively to steal the set late, taking it 26-24.
- The Raiders regained the momentum to begin in the second set after a block from Schultz and Seth Thomas gave them a 9-5 lead. Tommy Clausz helped the Raiders extend the lead with a pair of kills and blocks to lead 22-14 with Schultz ending the set with a kill to roll 25-17.
- A kill from Antonio Llona Baez started the run to give the Red & White the true advantage to begin the third set, adding major kills and solo block for them to run away with a 17-9 lead. They continued to be dominant at the net, with Thomas ending the set with a kill to win the set with ease 25-14.
- Three service aces early on in the fourth set gave the Raiders an 8-4 advantage before the Sabres cut it back to two. An error from the Sabres gave the Raiders a 19-13 advantage but the Sabres clawed to stay in it until Llona Baez ended the match with a kill to win 25-20.
