LA CROSSE, Wis. – The MSOE men's track & field team finished fifth at the Phil Esten Challenge in their final prep for championship season, highlighted by
Adam Shaw jumping up the national list.

RECAP
- Shaw was the top collegiate in the 1,500-meter run, finishing second overall running 3:51.78, which currently sits 15th nationally in Division III. Alyassir won the 5,000-meter run, running away from the field in 15:41.97. Sam McPeak finished seventh in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, finishing in a massive personal best 9:28.29, while Xander Gottner placed eighth in the 10,000-meter run in 30:49.54, just seven seconds off the school record.
- Daniel Geerts scored in both hurdle events, finishing fourth in the 110-meter hurdles in 15.09 before finishing sixth in the 400-meter hurdles in 56.95. Geerts then joined the group of Jack Schwartz, Daniel Burant, and Evan Ploeckelman for the 4x100-meter relay that placed sixth in 44.83 . The 4x400-meter relay with Tyler Bradley, Robert Kearns, Jack Schwartz, and Burant took seventh in 3:37.11.
- In the field events, James Paulson finished third in the triple jump with a leap of 13.18 meters, while Kyle Conrad took fifth with 12.00 meters. Thomas Kiefer tied for ninth in the pole vault, leaping 4.27 meters.
